Tips For Healthy and Happy Living
By Mark E.
1) Live each day like it’s the last day of your life.
Savor every sight, sounds and feelings as if tomorrow will never come. View the world in the perspective of a child. * Marvel at the creations of God.
2) Feed not only your body but also your mind
An empty mind is like an empty stomach. You feel weak mentally if you do not read and inform yourself of new things. And a weak mind becomes the workshop of the devil.
3) Relax and smell the roses.
Always take time to unwind. Take a nap or immerse yourself in a hot bath tub. You can even have a hot towel and a massage. A calming music can take away the pressures of the day.
4) Be active.
An inactive body usually gets rusted from the inside. Exercise or participate in sports activities to activate your muscles and strengthen your heart. Participate in group exercise or sports activities to also sharpen your social skills.
5) Appreciate yourself.
Always feel beautiful as a person. Nobody can judge you except yourself and your maker. Think of others’ degrading comments as illusions. As long as you feel good and clean with yourself, that is the best compliment in the world.
6) Take time with your family and loved ones.
Quality time with friends and family should be treasured. Dining together as a family strengthens familial bonds and is a great time to catch up on the latest on your family members. Hug your wife and daughter. Tell them they are your greatest treasures in the world.
7) Make it point to improve your self as a person.
Self improvement should be an every day, every hour and every minute objective of everybody. Be more courteous, or more helpful, or more respectful, or more religious. There is always room to make yourself a better person.
8) Accept the things that you cannot change but take action on those that you can.
There are developments in our lives that are the product of outside forces beyond our control. One should learn to accept those things and move on with your life. Do not cry over spilt milk, so they say also. What happens in the past is the past. However, if there is anyway to correct the future by learning from the past, then act on it.Do not procrastinate. Value the present, cherish the past but act on the future.
